Yes I think we have. Instead of celebrating the birth of our Lord, Christmas has become so commercialized & materialistic. It is all about who can spend the most or get the best gift. And we put ourselves into so much debt for things we can not afford, just to impress others or for whatever the reasons. Christimas items have been put into stores in early August. The bottom line...money.

What was the true meaning of Christmas? Is it in the Bible that we're to celebrate Christmas? Jesus left the last supper ordinance for us to do until he returns. But where is the Biblical practice for us to celebrate Christmas?

No, I'm not being a fanatical or Scrooge. But if there's gonna be Christmas then using Christ's name there should be some justification from him in His Holy Word.

Yes. Too many materialistic "needs". Expectations are raised with every fantastic gift, next year's has to beat it, pretty soon you have a 10 year old expecting a car and a swimming pool...(my boss' daughter at 10, for real; now at 17 she wants her own house).
