Neckrings - No they are not heavy. They rest on your shoulder and it carries your head.

Costume? Traditional clothing is nothing but a large piece of cured cow hide. The hide gets more exotic and elaborate with status. They use a mixture of raw animal fat and red soil to coat their hair. Sometimes they add "red rust" powder to accent the colours.

The pots are heavy only when filled with water. They are about 2 gallons of water, and so end up being about 10 kgs.

the neck rings aren't that heavy. the drink cow milk and when they kill a gost or any other animal they suck the blood from the animals neck. the pots are really heavy with nothing in them. well i don't knw how masai's carry the pots but tanzanians make a ring bandage out of a piece of cloth and place it on there head. they make the beads by themselves and neckrings and all that stuff, but some masai's hate their culture and wish they were normal.

the necklaces are relative there are heavy ones but plenty of nice light ones.

their dressing is mostly just a piece of cloth known as a shuka or lesso or khanga which is widely available in kenya, the animal fats am not too sure about as for the pots it just takes skill to know when it has perfectly balanced on ur head or not

The necklings worn by masai's are not heavy. they are made of beads. The masai wear colourful red, and blue striped shukas (sheets) that they wrap around themselves. They use animal fats to apply on their skin, and mix it with ocre, to apply on their hair especially during moran initiation or circumcision. The pots to carry on their heads is about 10kg, and they balance on their heads, so they dont feel the weight.
