Good Omens, Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett
Well written, creative, hilarious spin on The Omen. Suitable for almost any age group from teen to adult. I couldn't put it down the first couple of times I read it.

My favorite book changes all the time, but right now it's "Justin Thyme". Why? Well, it's been a long time since I've found a book that has totally engaged the entire family from the youngest to the oldest; not since the last Harry Potter book, in fact! This one is full of mysterious clues and hidden cryptic messages we can all argue about ... including trying to work out who the author is! And strangest of all ... the title looks exactly the same even when you turn the book upside-down! Mind-blowing!!

Marley and Me. He talks about his dog and all the "problems" he and his family endure, during Marley's life span. From obedience school to family members not thinking Marley is good enough to be around small children. The way he describes Marley throughout the book is funny and sad at times. -If I had not sent the book back to the library I'd be able to give you some better ideas..lol- this book is so good.

Mine are the Xanth series from Piers Anthony. They are very comical with many puns. I also like The Hitchikers Guide series by Douglas Adams for the funny also. I have just started to read the Belgariad series by David Eddings and they were also great.

Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. Card is great with writing believable characters--they become "real" to the reader--AND with writing exciting, adventurous plots.
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. Meyer is just a great writer. I cannot put her books down. They are simply so good, so exciting, so wonderful.

my favorite book of all time is shogun by james clavell. the reason why is because it is well written and it is 1200 pages long, which gives you plenty of time to become familiar with all of the main characters.
