With any antivirus program when a virus is found your antivirus program know if the virus can be deleted or placed in the "vault". As there are some virus that can not be deleted. Your virus is safe in the "vault".

You can leave the virus in the AVG valut as it will be safe there and cause no harm to your system. A vault is safe as nothing can get out of it, unless you open the vault and delete the virus or when you decide to remove AVG from add/remove it will also ask you if you wish to remove everything in the valut an if you say yes then all the viruses in the vault will be removed from you system.

Don't worry you are 100% safe

that is safe to delete, in fact anything in the vault is quarentined, so deleting wont do anything to your system. The purpose of the vault is incase something that is not a virus, gets put there, you can restore it to your system (many automated scripts such as mirc give flase positives for viruses, although AVG doesn't snag mirc)

The virus vault keeps the virus isolated from your system, so it becomes absolutely harmless. However, if you do want to get rid of it, you can empty the virus vault; the virus will be permanently removed from your computer.
