I don't think that, and my guess (and experience of knowing some people) would be that these children grow up with a much better view, attitude and acceptance of people and our individuality...for the haters, ignorance is bliss...

I don't think that....
I think it's their own fears and phobias that make them feel that way.
I mean really, sexual orientation as an adult has no bearing on how well they can care for a child or keep them safe. There is just as much abuse going on in straight average family homes as anywhere else.
And children do not always turn out by the way they are raised....you can have just as many bad seeds from a good home as you can good eggs come from a bad home.

Because most people believe that being gay/lesbian is wrong (which is stupid) and they automatically think that a gay or lesbian person is going to do something horrible because “something is not right with them.” And what is the worst thing a “good, upstanding citizen” can think of? Mistreating a child. It’s all hearsay and prejudice. No real fact. Just ignorance.

Personally If I were going through any sort of process like adoption and someone attempted to use those reasons to deny my right to adopt(assuming I met all the other criteria) I would sue for slander/libel. You "think" I'm like that? Prove it or pay me. Put your money where your mouth is.(and oh, btw, use accredited research)

they are just truly uneducated. what a shame, we adopted two babies right at birth, I even cut the cord, I love children, and would love to adopt more. I am not gay, but being gay has nothing to do with being a wonderful parent.

Yes, its easy to demonize gays as being perverts.
There is no evidence that homosexuals are more prone to sexual abuse than heterosexuals. Of all the abuse kids Social Services "rescues" how many come from gay households??????

Most people don't think that way - it's just that some people think that having homosexual parents isn't a 'normal' way to bring up kids - but not many kids have normal upbringings these days anyway.
