because he is a over rated **** bag who doesnt even use a real band to write or record his music with. All he moans on about is shootings and people getting killed and america going to war. Anybody could write what he does. wanker.

because he is confrontational, controversial, and puts the truth in your face.
many people are frightened by this therefore state he's a bad person.
he has genuine real life reasons behind his music - something the average manufactured b+lox is unable to do, simply because they are not intelligent.
i saw eminem live once, not only was his performance outstanding, his songs are fantastic, and always proves his over whelming love for his daughter.

I think for some period of time he was well respected but then he just behaved like an idiot, music got crap, and he has now been slated for the past couple of years. I don't respect him anymore.
