dlin333,
Jesus Christ knew of his fate, he could have stopped it at any moment.
You need to understand the Holy Bible. Jesus's blood made perfect atonement for original sin. That is why we do not sacrifice animals any more, his blood made perfect sacrifice. I pray you get the True meaning of Jesus Christ...

first, let me say i am a believer in Jesus, with that said,

dont you think going around , proclaiming you are the son of God, taunting the established government and religions, is actually a form of suicide? if you do actions that you can predict will cause someone to kill you, its called passive suicide

as to murder,,,,,how often have we heard calls to arms mention God,, how often have things been done asking God to be with us, in the name of country and God, to protect our religious freedoms ,etc

i think many distort the holy truth, and also that perhaps there are many holy truths,,

afterthought and response to your response to me: yes Jesus knew his fate, and had he reasons to do it, that still doesnt remove the fact that you said holy suicide, and what he did is in the same category, actions you take that you know or can expect to lead to someone killing you is passive suicide,,,,,,,
and my comment about many holy truths, or rather interpretations of holy truth, is clear, in your telling me to get to know Jesus,,, because i make a statement, yes my interpretation,,,, and you dont agree with it, so my truth is not your truth,,

Perhaps it's better if you put some referrences to support your statements there and why you point that Holy Suicide and Holy Murder to the muslims only. There are some other radical orders take those words into actions too and they are non-muslims.

What I believe is that no true religions would teach their followers to commit suicide or to kill other people. I think that's about individual interpretation toward the faith and every one as they have individual brain and mind will have different interpretation on the same things.

The problem with all religions is that they are the interpretation of the religious leaders.

Christianity was 'created' by the Catholic Church, picking and choosing from the writings and credos from different Christian groups. And more recent Christian faiths were also 'created' by charismatic and powerful leaders. Judaism is interpreted by rabbis and Islam by the imams. Religion is all about power, influence, and marketing.

The Christian churches support the Bush administration's wars and torture because they get money from the administration. Imams send people to die in suicide bombs, something not supported in the Koran, because it breeds more fervor in their congregation, and thus gives them more power.

i'm christian in Indonesia, major muslim country people and i have alot of moslem friends.

And if you know just a little bit about Islam, you will know that there's no such "Holy Suicide" in Islam. The terrorist who bomb others is just psychotic - sociopath narrow-minded group. So..people out there, just learn about other, learn about muslim and open up your mind . Peace !

well; who said that the ones who do suicide are really Muslims? they might have done this as an effect of bad abuse or brain wash; don't judge Muslims on these things; also am not sure that Islam allow this; but when you think about it and see how many Muslims are getting abused and disrespected everyday; you might think they have a right in doing these things although i don't think it is a good or the right thing to do....

Xtians aren't quite as bad nowadays, but it wasn't too long ago in history when you could've substituted their religion for "Muslim" above.

Beware of having blind faith in ANY religion....
