Okay so it's been eight years since my last pregnancy but not having any morning sickness, pains, problems on the first one ... I reckon this one (or two?!) might give me my monies worth lol!! :-)

The strange thing I had this time is that since I have become pregnant, my uterus ... feels like it 'stretching' and almost feels like it is 'moving' yes I know the baby is too small before you jump on me! My stomach is massive and over the past few days, finding suitable clothes to hide my rapidly forming bump .. yikes .. has been a challenge!

I used to have these 'stretchy' feelings during the later stages of my 1st pregnancy, and they almost stopping my walking when litt-lee used to push from the inside downward .. my current experiences are no way as harsh as being 40 weeks pregnant ... but they sort of feel they same ... the only way I can describe.

I'm not worried in anyway, just wondered if anyone else have had these type of feelings before? Would love 2 hear back from you x

i am 8 1/2 weeks along with my 4th pregnancy and am feeling the same types of things, i am also in maternity clothes already, you can get bigger faster with subsequent pregnancies. I wouldn;t worry.

Congratulations!!! I'm pregnant for the second time, about 7 or 8 weeks and feel totally different this time round! I had lots of cramping early on, i get a bad stitch when i sneeze or cough, and i have terrible "morning" sickness which lasts nearly all day! I was never really sick with my first and i didn't show till 20 weeks either. I'm feeling fatter already (no weight gain) and i keep getting "fluttering" which i know CANNOT be the baby but it does feel like a baby moving about inside me!! My son is 3 now so I've not had a huge gap between the pregnancies and I'm only 28. I'm glad that we are experiencing the same things as i was SO worried early on when i thought i was having an ectopic pregnancy. I'm sure it would have surfaced by now if it was one, but as you say, its all the "what ifs" and the worrying that every pain is a miscarriage or something!!! My dating scan is mid December (i had to wait till 20 weeks with my first!) and I've got my booking in appointment just before Christmas so I'm really excited now!

Good luck!!

Congratulations!

I agree with what the experienced mothers are saying about scar tissue and body going into auto pilot. I haven't got my own children but know many mothers and have taken an interest in their pregnancy. (I find it very interesting!?!)

Obviously talk to your doctor, but have you considered it may be twins? Or if you believe all that those myths, it could mean that you are carrying a boy. They are supposed to make you sick. (I can't really remember, I think its boys, it might be girls that make you sick actually hmm...!)

Perhaps some of it is psychological, by this I don't mean that you are making it up. But as you know what to expect perhaps your mind has an influence over your body to make it better prepared for protecting the unborn child.

Also don't forget you are 8 yrs older, perhaps its a maturer mother thing.

My friend whilst pregnant got these horrible pains in her hips. She described them as stretchy pains coincidentally. The cause of this were excessive hormones perhaps you have something like that going on.

Hope you feel more comfortable soon!

P.S Drink loads of water!

With each progressive pregnancy your body seems to be in fast forward. By my third I think I woke up after conception and put on maternity clothes!! We heard the hearbeat sooner and I felt movement sooner with my 3rd also. Your body is just going into auto pilot, because it has done this before. Of course, talk to your docotor about any concerns. But I would say everything sounds normal. Congratulations!!!

People say that number 2 is very diff. and many start to show a lot sooner in # 2 ( my friend did) I only had 1 so I am not for sure but that is what I have heard many times.

I had the same with this one too. It's been 7 years for me also. When you have kids far apart your body forms scar tissue at times and it becomes harder for yur uterus to stretch. It's nothing to worry about it's very annoying though. When your pregnant you get alot of bloating from gas and water. You may feel very pregnant at times because of this.
