Violence. Fear is a perception, and whether the chances of something happening are real doesn't matter. Fear can still be present. The media produces these fears by presenting negative images, while downplaying positive ones. All of these above are feared, but people fear violence the most. Everyone locks their doors, considers whether going out late is a good idea, and carries pepper spray. No one stock piles food to prevent hunger, or obsessively visits the doctor to detect illnesses. And for those who live in third world countries with no food, starving is not a fear, but a reality. Violence produces a fear in which people feel they can control what happens to them. They take drastic measures (if you think about it) to reduce their chances of being victimized, allowing this fear to control their everyday behaviors.

Have u ever been really hungry, really? Have u gone to bed without eating or being able to feed ur little ones. There is no catastrophe bigger in the world than that of a baby crying it self to sleep for lack of nutrients in third world countries and right here at home, In this great big U.S.A. The answer is clearly, HUNGER.

All those you mentioned can be reduced or connected to violence:
death: the result of physical violence.
war: only with violence wars can exist.
hunger: the lack of resources is one of the causes of violence.
catastrophe: violence from nature.
Personally I think the biggest fear of the humanity should be inertia and resignation. But that's just me.

Death. Because that affects everyone. It's why we have religion. The other may not affect individuals and so they don't care as much.
