OJ Simpson has not been censored by the government, he has every right to say whatever he wants to in that regard. But the publishers have every right not to publish his book or show his interview on TV too. And they decided it was distasteful, disrespectful and downright disgusting, and so they used their right not to waste their money printing those books.

OJ was found not guilty and should have every right that any American has, however, it is true that the publisher has a right not to publish the book. I am certain that what has transpired was a planned strateegery, so that he can benefit monetarily and all the people involved got the publicity they were seeking. OJ received a i.5 million dollar advance to write the book and it will remain his, he will print millions of copies and they will sell after all the hype that was put in to it. SEE STRATEEGERY!!

The freedom of speech guaranteed by the Constitution only protects speech from restraints by the various levels of government. Businesses (including publishers and broadcasters) have no such requirement. If you work for a business and would like to test this out, start a blog using your real name and write critical things about your employer. Make sure to tell your employer about the blog and that you believe in free speech. See how long you keep your job.

sure there's freedom of speech- but booksellers also have the right to refuse to glorify a vicious killer, and help make money off others' pain. there's a limit to everything, including freedom of speech. why else would there be such a thing as the ACLU, making sure that every word that comes out of your mouth is P.C.- or else!

His right to freedom of speech isn't being violated, because he hasn't been kept from expressing himself. After all, he was allowed to write and publish his book. However, the booksellers also have the legal right to decide what they do and don't want to sell.

OJ has exercised his freedom of speech, no one has tried to stop him from writing that book. Stores are exercising their freedom too, no one has the right to tell a store it must sell any given item.

Freedom of speech is fine, but they have the right not to sell books they don't want to sell. I could publish my own book about how to kill people and dispose of the bodies. No one can stop me from writing the book but they don't have to sell it.

If OJ wants to publish his book himself, then he should go for it. Freedom of Speech does not guaranty that your speech will be published, it just gives you the right to say it.

Uh, freedom of speech refers to the restrictions on government's ability to regulate your speech.

If a private company refuses to publish or distribute or sell a book, that is their right.

Freedom of speech has nothing to do with compelling private industry to do anything.

I still have the right to avoid being the target of law-suits.
