We have an abundance of knowledge available to us, such as libraries and internet, but why do people still not believe in proven facts, such as evolution? Why are people so damn stupid?

Because so called proven facts are actually just theories. There are clues leading people to believe them, but no real proof. Evolution is a prime example. Darwin never said that there was no creator, he said that it was possible that one species might have derived from another, developing traits to aid their existence. But he also said that there would then be fossil evidence of linking species, or missing links between species. Mankind has searched for these missing links, especially between mankind and apes, for many years. Several people have claimed to have found such links, only to be disproved or exposed as frauds later on. Peltdown man is a perfect example of such a case, it was found a few years later that the pieces of skull from peltdown man were from several different species and not from one skull of a missing link.
Other such theories that can not yet be proven or disproved include the creationist theory, the big bang (though we can see some evidence of this theory in that the universe is expanding from a localized region of space), and the earth core theory. All of these are best guesses. Some are taught in schools is if they are fact. So many people take that at face value and assume that they are fact. They are theories.
Having said all of this, I believe what I see. I believe neither evolution or creation because there is no proof of either one.

It's that stupid, for some people, faith trumps the darwin theory. Those are the same people who are set on their ways in all area's. They are told something over and over and have accepted it as true without checking the truth. Even the Creator said to research all things until you prove to your satisfaction. They are satisfied that someone else knows...

i could ask the same question. I mean some people just follow the crowd, they bring up that the "smartest" people believe in t(what they want to beleive in) and just follow right along without asking any questions and just accept what others accept as fact. To me that is "damn stupid"

Inbreeding? Malnutrition? Alcohol? Lots of things contribute to people's stupidity. Just to let you know though it's still called the theory of evolution not the fact of evolution.
