I am 6 months pregnant and already have 2 little children... so I'm tired... but I don't know if this is the reason for my stupid comments all the time. I do stupid crap at work that makes me come off as not knowing what I'm doing when I really do. Like asking my supervisor a question when I have the answer right in front of me... and while I'm asking him, I realize... there it is! Or, forgetting to make changes to an entire section of a drawing because I'm in a hurry and then it just looks like I didn't know I was supposed to.... It pisses me off!! Is it because I'm tired, or that I'm having brain farts because I'm pregnant, or am I just an idiot?

KC...Do not be get too worry about that...why not try to take a step back and give more thought into your work and be more prudent. Anyone who is rushing to get things done will find that their quality of work get affected, resulting one to blame on him/herself.

Take my advice to have a 5 mins time-out at the end of the day to conduct a mini self-reflection on yourself. What things have you done today that is satisfying to you? what could you have done better today?

Your two children are innocent...So do not bring your worries back home!

A penny for you thought!

Sounds like you are just over worked, between the kids and the job. You just need to step back and take move time.
You didn't say anything about a husband, if you are married, he needs to take some of the load off of you with the other two children.
You know what, we all have brain farts once in awhile, it just says that we are human

I get the sense that you have some self-esteem issues going on. You didn't mention if it is other people who think you seem stupid or just you. If you feel you are making stupid comments all the time, slow down and think before you speak. The vocabulary you chose in your question also makes me think that you could elevate yourself a little. It would be good for you and your kids. Good luck.

It all sounds like just the stress of everything. If you can just relax, and I mean on the inside. Just take it easy on yourself, know that everything will be okay. Also, take your time. You may have to make adjustments to the ways you've done things in times past in order to be effective.

BUT.... My initial reaction to your question by itself was...DO NOTHING!!! If people think you aren't so smart, they won't bother worrying you with HARD issues!!! LOL Let them think what they want! HOWEVER, your explanation just makes me think you need to slow down and take your time. None of your examples denote any level of not being smart.

i'm sure your pregnancy AND taking care of two little ones at home takes a lot of your concentration.

do you take vitamins besides prenatal? there are certain ones that can help stimulate your mind and make you feel a little more with it. i have had that problem too, and seriously i find that when i'm drinking oj in the morning or taking vitamins, my mind feels a little bit more clear.

or try getting more sleep or trying (i know it's hard in your situation) to have a LITTLE bit of down-time every day just for yourself. even that might help your mind catch up.

good luck!!
