I would honestly suggest going to a local restaurant. I started when I was 15. I was a bus girl.. It was great because I didn't get tax taken out of my money. I got paid $15 per shift (6hours) Then around $20-30 in tips from the waitress.(20%) Then some locals gave me a dollar or 2.Sometimes 3. So, I would make $35-50 a night. It was always a surprise. Minimum wage was $5.50 back then so with tax taken out that would of been about $4.50 an hour. I worked 3 shifts a week at the restaurant and usually made $130 a week. This was in 2002-2004. It was $7 an hour tax free so around $8.50 an hour on the books. Once you get the hang of that you can start hosting which is easier and waitress. I never waitressed though because I was clutzy/ditzy. I hosted in college. Lol. Good luck <3 and forget the food store. Oh and I always got a free meal which was good food. If you don't want to bus tables, then you can be a phone girl at a pizzeria/restaurant and take the phone orders.

Depending what state you are in. In my state you would still need a work permit. Also Target does not hire unless you are sixteen. I am not sure about Walgreens though.

i fairly certain that as long as you have your working permit, if they want to hire you, you can work anywhere.
