I have a whole bunch of postage stamps in the United States but they are from Canada can I use them?

Nope. Only U.S. postage for outgoing mail. Even internationa letter require special postage.

Canada is a different country.

Why would the UNITED STATES Postal Service honor stamps which you got by giving money to the Canadian Postal Service?

no.
unless you stick the postage on the envelope, and send it to Canada thru' someone, and have them mail it from there. :)

And you can't use U.S. stamp's here in Canada either....Further...Stamp's are only accepted in the country that they are issued in....Yuke
