Why aren't the Giants getting the ball to Shockey early in the game??

That is an excellent question that only ownership and management can truly answer.
From what took place in last nights loss to Jacksonville, it does seem that if Shockey had been thrown the ball more often they may have scored more.
I think if they used him more in conjuction with Tiki and the running game, Jeremy would be a lot more effective throughout the game.
Shockey is an excellent catch and run receiver.
How about using him in a variation of the screen pass; but will Eli under throw him like he did with Tiki?
Or how about sending him deep like they do with Plaxico? No wait; Eli may under throw it again.
When I talk with my brother, I jokingly refer to Eli as Perfect Play Eli.
It seems to me that everything has to go perfect for Eli to complete a pass.
I think he READS TOO SLOW.
Most of the time defenders know exactly to whom he’s throwing the ball.
It’s a wonder he’s not throwing more INTs than what he is.
In his defense; I think there’s too much pressure on him to hit the deep pass.
AND I think somebody wants Plaxico to be A and THE STAR RECEIVER.

I have wondered about that issue myself. The only way to know for sure is to watch game films to see how he is running his routes. Even so I still cannot believe a talented TE like Shockey is not getting passes thrown his way and Eli needs all the help he can get because I don't see a good effort being put forth by Plaxico.

Eli has not been sharp so far, I don't know what the is going on what him, but I would not be surprised if Shockey request to be traded at the end of the season. He is too good a playmaker to not be getting the ball to him.

Because Eli has issue's with him. I am a big Giants fan. Eli is always looking for Plax everytime. With Toomer out now you would think that Shockey would get more touches. But he hasnt, they have gone down. I am starting to think that Eli sucks and cannot do the job.

Here in Cleveland, our tight end Kellen "K2" Winslow Jr. slammed the coaching staff for a similar mistake.

He now leads the league in # of receptions last I checked.

HOWEVER, Jeremy spoke (in class today?) too many times in the past that HIS requests seem boring or selfish.

Eli should realize that the TE is his best friend. His downfield throws are the most glaring proof that he's a shadow of Peyton.

Because he's a loud mouth flash in the pan that can't get it done and the Giants know it.
