depends on how many lectures and time doing your coursework a week. My mum did hers in 9 months and it is recommended 9 months to a year. It depends as to wether you are doing it at college or on the net. Colleges are always better as you do get alot more help if needed. Just depends on how many hours a week you will do some people who work fulltime like my mum only did 2 or 3. There is no rush to complete it.

It took me about six months but i am so lazy, you have to complete the modules first at your own time, I did mine on the internet then go into the testing centre for your exam there are 7 modules, and some of them are quite hard so I went through them again and again as I didnt' want to fail the exams.
But My friend who is already a computer whizz just went in and sat all 7 exams without doing the course training and passed.
So I suppose the answer to your question is it is up to you how fast you complete the ecdl it depends how much time you have and how easily you understand the modules.
Good Luck

It mainly depends on where you do the course. I work in a Learndirect centre and you have lots of flexibility. All of the course is online so you can do it anywhere so long as you have internet access. Some of my learners have taken up to a year to complete whereas other learner take about 3 months. It all depends on how much time you want it to take up per week.

Going to a college, the course should take about 6months.
