That's an excellent question! I think a lot of it has to do with the perception our elected officials portray. Universally, I believe that most people are good at heart and want nothing more than world peace. No one really wants war and distruction.
Unfortunately, most of it comes down to politics and greed. You know the grass is always greener...etc. They want what we have, we want what they have and some politicians will stop at nothing to get it. In the wake of that goal, the people suffer as a result. It is sad, but perhaps more people will awake to the realization that this is not how they want their world to be, and they will take a stand and tell the politicians to go take a hike. If more people, like yourself ask the question, perhaps as a whole we can come up with a solution.
Personally, I think wars should be fought with marshmallow shooters, crayons and coloring books! Who could resist!!

I think it is human nature to use our frustrations to attack others to make our unworthy selves feel better. Which is wrong of course. One cannot generalise. I have met a few Americans and play internet Scrabble with some too. So if you want to meet an American-look in the mirror. We all have the same Qualities and failings. As for Adam R who says The UK is the worst place in the world. Where has he travelled in England and the rest of Britain to come to such a conclusion? Britain is a wonderful land.

Siblings can't get along in the same house and they are born from the same parents. The UK and the US are both English speaking countries but they have so much unresolved conflict that goes way back to the revolution. We, our generation, need to let go of that garbage.

It's the minority, left wing racists that make snide remarks. If we ignore them they may go away.

What is it actually like being number one inhabitant of planet pink n fluffy? Most of these people have never met, nor probably ever will do. It's Human nature to display these traits and I love it, not ness against the dear 'ol Yankees, but it's great to have a banter on here, makes me smile anyway.
