Even Kissinger thinks there is no military solution, so why not withdraw now?

It is a fact that US went into this war completely unprepared for the insurgency. US has never won a significant victory against an enenmy that employs guerilla style warfare and urban suicide terrorist attacks. Infact if you look at it no country, even Isreal has been able to do that with the Palestinian struggle.

Maybe the US should consult Putin and see how he handles Chechnya. He seems to have better than average success so far.

Amen! Everyone who agrees with Bush that we can win in Iraq, is as delusional as he is, maybe even more so. He at least has the real facts and numbers. Get our butts out of there. It's over. There are people who can't stand the idea that the greatest military on earth can be brought to a standstill by folks wearing robes, and those folks are willing to have many more Americans die to prove the point. Mission Accomplished? Yeah, right.

It seems to me that liberals have a hard time getting past the
headlines in a news paper. They did it with Rangle and now with
Kissinger.

If the newspapers ran a headline such as "HILLARY SAYS WE
CAN WIN THIS WAR", would they read the article to see what she really meant. I think not. They would just believe it.

By the way, to the liberals in the forum who are wondering, I
made up that headline, she didn't say it.

The whole thing is such a shame. At least we got rid of Saddam. Too bad that wasn't our only goal - then we would have succeeded. And we could have been back by now. I'm tired of Americans dying for that crappy country. It isn't worth it. If we're serious about defending our country - why don't we focus on our borders?
