It depends on how stylish you wany to be. Cold weather coats can be very expensive. However; Many people who are in the ski and snow board scene are slaves to fashion and get new clothing every year. Many second hand stores have great cold weather gear that has been used only a few times. Military surplus also has great coats etc. if you don't care abou the styld. As far as skin protection a good moisturizer should be enough to get through through. High altitude sun can burn quickly but if you are already dark you should have no problem.
have fun and good luck.

Try thrift stores for an inexpensive coat. For your skin, lots of moisturizer & sun screen. Have fun!

ebay has cheap coats and lots of them. just get a wintery type of ski jacket and u will be fine. take plenty of lotion bc the cold weather tends to dry your skin out. lip balm will also be needed to prevent chapped lips.
