Rocks can float on any sea. It depends on the type of rock.
It is very common for pumice (a very air filled rock from volcanoes) to float in a normal ocean.
The dead sea is loaded with more salts and minerals than others and is therefore denser. Most rocks would sink but some of the lighter rocks and minerals might float.

Rocks might float in the Dead Sea if their bulk density is juuuuust slightly above 1g/cm3. Or if they are flat. The secret to flotation is displacement on the water's surface.
The concentration of salt in the Dead Sea is higher than that of regular oceans, but it is not high enough to make a rock with a bulk density twice that of water to float. Most rocks have a density of 2g/cm3 to 2.5g/cm3. So chances are if it did not float in the Atlantic ocean it will not float in the Dead Sea.

it depends on how dense they are, rocks that have a density of less than 1 can float on water. but yes some rocks that cant float on normal water may float in the dead sea. The human body floats a lot easier in the dead sea than in normal sea water.

Did you ever word that once something floats in water, area of that's definitely under water? because it sinks (even quite) it pushes away the water until that quantity of water weighs a similar simply by fact the ingredient that's floating. If the ingredient you attempt to drift is only too heavy, it won't be able to push away adequate water to be comparable to how plenty it weighs. If that happens, the ingredient will sink.Ask an grownup that might assist you with an test (a attempt) that could instruct you the way this works: drift a small plastic boat in water and word how deep the boat sinks while that's empty. Then upload pennies to the boat and watch how the boat sinks deeper and deeper the greater pennies you upload. The pennies make the boat weigh further and further. in case you upload adequate pennies, the boat will sink deep adequate so as that water reaches the ideal and then the entire ingredient sinks.Blow up a balloon and drift it on water. it won't sink very some distance simply by fact it relatively is not very heavy. in case you look relatively close, the place the balloon touches the water, you may discover a splash dent in the water under the balloon. that's the situation the place the water is pushed out of how. in case you attempt this attempt with a ball that's precisely a similar length simply by fact the balloon, the ball will sink deeper earlier it floats. simply by fact the ball is heavier than the balloon, it has to push greater water out of how earlier it may drift. it relatively is not basically how heavy something is that makes it drift or sink. look how heavy real boats are -- and that they nonetheless drift. Floating or sinking has to do with the quantity of water pushed out of how. Any boat will sink in case you positioned adequate stuff interior it -- only like your test confirmed. Small, heavy issues like a marble or a rock won't be able to drift simply by fact they can't push adequate water out of a thank you to be comparable to how plenty they weigh.. So submit to in thoughts, something that floats weighs a similar simply by fact the water pushed out of how. P.S And a million greater ingredient, products that are heavier than a similar volume of water will sink. issues that are lighter than a similar volume of water will drift. in case you push an empty bottle under water, you push diverse water out of how. That water could weigh plenty greater beneficial than the bottle. The bottle will drift. A rock positioned under water additionally pushes diverse water out of how. That water could weigh under the rock, so the rock can sink. i'm hoping this solutions your question!!!!

Yes it is possible, particularly with rocks such as pumice which have a high proportion of bubbles, caused by volcanic gasses, trapped within their structure.
