I believe the media has corrupted the society we live in, because its giving us all negitve things, that's why I gave up watching TV so much, because its all about money, and how to get it and dishing out garbage that they are doing now is only feeding that monster.

While I respect the good journalists out there(I myself love to research things and would love to try my hand at journalism), the media as a whole is disappointing to say the least. All of the good celebrity magazines have turned tabloid, and the news is so depressing that I don't even like going to msnbc.com that much anymore, and it's my homepage! I crave information, I'm insatiable about learning new things, but the news these days is really cruddy.

I watch it from time to time. But it's really a limited view of what going on in the world, and it seems that the media loves to report the negative things going on in the world. Personally when I watch the news, it's depressing. I think the networks have a moral responsibility to search just as hard for the positive aspects of the world, just as much as all the dirt they like to report.

i think Mark Twain had a great point when he said "if you don't read the newspaper you are uninformed, but if you do read the newspaper you are misinformed"
its on a much larger scale now than newspaper only, but i think that same thing can go for the whole of the media

Sometimes I have respect for them but I really despise the media who doesn't back off when someone dies and it's a famous case or something.

I love the media
I choose to be wary when watching, but this is the information age, and frankly, we are better off
one of the foundations of a free society is a free press

I hate the media, and yet I don't think I could live without it. I hate how it makes us humans so appearance-oriented

It's a necessary evil. You much use your common sense and don't get your information from one source. The more sources the better...even if you don't agree with it.
