my wife is a nursery nurse and has seen parents name children the strangest names, yes you can put anything on the birth certificate if you are the mother. she's seen a boy named ZERO and a cute little girl bound for stripper stardom named cinnamon sky. I worked in a hospital and a patients name was Phueck Yu, swear to God, and pronounced just like you are thinking so for three days I am calling him F*ck and when he'd get belligerent I'd call him Phuecking a-hole. It was a hospital joke, he was Thai

I think you can call him/her what you like, but that's a bit cruel. If I were a Registrar I would refuse to accept it.
The French government apparently made a fuss about a couple who wanted to call their son Zebedee, because they thought that was being cruel to the child.
I did hear of a girl called Female (pronounced Fe-mar-ly) who had been abandoned & brought up in a children's home in America.

well i`m into the indian way of how they name their children. basically how they do it is they name their child after the first thing the parents see directly after they are born. i have 7 children and their names are.....
1. remote control
2.door handle
3. dog turd
4. eastenders
5. ceiling
6. jack and vera duckworth
7. just look at that nice nursey
the fifth one was called ceiling because i passed out and the ceiling was the first thing i saw wen i eventually came around and because i didn`t know my squaw was even pregnant as i had a vasectomy. hope this helped

I would think so but I'm against the idea of inventing new names to call your kids.Think of your children growing up with some of the names used today! I've heard of a lady in Bristol who named her daughter Chlamydia because she thought it sounded"posh"

No but I think the registrar would put a complaint in as it is a silly name that could cause unnecessary suffering to the child later, if you are serious then you are daft as well, or you have never been bullied.

You are allowed to name your child anything you please, as far as the law is concerned. I once met someone whose parents found it hard to decide on a name, so they called her anonymous (or Nonny, for short) while they decided on her real name and she went on using it as her nickname for the rest of her life.

Sure go ahead!
His friends, if he will ever have any, will call him Anon, Nony, Nymo, Mousse - I can see the success story already!!!
He'll just have to grow up as one mean mother... to handle that name!
