Ok I saw the episode where phoebe and "cole" try to get married. My question is since he is the "source of all evil" how could he attempt to get married in a church like before God because they had a priest or pastor to perform the ceremony. Now I do know that they got married in a "dark" wedding but how could he even go into church being evil and especially the demon and the seer.

It could be because Cole was also part human.

personally i think that it was because Cole was part human and that they used some other black magic to be able to enter because remember they also had dark priests in the show too so they also had to have a way to perform ceremonies on sacred ground. not to mention that by these episodes the charmed ones were dealing with more higher level demons. and i don't think that there was a gargoyle posted outside of that particular church because remember when Paige was first coming into her powers and the source wanted her to come to the dark side he couldn't' enter that church in particular because of the gargoyles. and also this time because of the merger between Cole and the source, the source became more powerful than he was before.

Throughout the whole series they never really addressed this issue. In movies we see demons unallowed in churches and holy places but this was never addressed in charmed. I just assumed they "changed the guidelines" for this show. This isn't the first show to do this either. Buffy the Vampire Slayer had demons in the cemetaries all the time.
In conclusion; they changed the rules.

I imagine because he is the Source of all evil he can do some sort of black magic to make himself immune. Just a guess, cause I never thought of this. LOL

I don't think he ever steppd in the chapel section. As for when the actualcermony took place, that chapel was an illusion he and the Seer created.

because just cuz hes evil it doesnt mean he doesnt get close to god all evil demons &satan talk to god they hate him but they still get close to him

because the wrighters didn't think off that they figer that as long as the put hot girl's and sappy kissy stuff in the show we wouldn't think about it
