Husband just bought one and is not sure what temperature it is best to set it at. I will be grateful if you can help.

RUBBISH If it's 3kw and 24 hours a day in this weather it will probably be on continually if it's a big pond. 3 x 24 equals 72kwh at typically 12 pence per unit equals £8.64 per day. If the pond gets up to the set temperature the thermostat will cut-off for some of this time and it will cost a bit less.

Would the other two answerers above please let me know who their electricity supplier is so I can change to them immediately!!

3 kw = 72 kwh per day = .819 therms = (check your electric bill for prices) I would say about £1.10 per day running at max, for a full 24 hour day.

just put it at mid temperature and it will cost no more that 40p per day
