I just don't understand what business it is of yours to tell me I can't get married to a woman. Making same sex marriages illegal is the most discriminatory, sexist, and archaic idea (and now REALITY in Virginia) I've ever seen. WHY DO YOU CARE?!

I agree. I feel that if 2 consenting, unrelated adults love each other and are committed to each other, it shouldn't matter what their gender, race, religion or culture is. they should be allowed to legally marry and enjoy all the legal benefits of marriage as well. how can we tarnish the sanctity of marriage any more than a lot of straight people already have? I mean, look at the divorce rate, the abuse, the infidelity, the children born out of wedlock...raised in 1 parent homes. look at the blase' attitude some have towards marriage (case in point, Britney Spears' drunken 55 hour Vegas wedding, and now, big surprise! she's now divorcing "K-Fed"). how could we possibly do worse than that?

People shouldn't care. If two people love each other, I don't see what the problem is. There is not enough love in this world. Trying to stop two people from loving each other and having a happy relationship because they are of the same gender is ridiculous. People should be happy for them and they would be better off spending their time dealing with real problems like all the people suffering and dying out there for instance rather than be obsessed with what some two consenting adults do in private.

I consider Chrystal. As on your question, specific. all the gays would be happy to get married, finally. You did not ask my opinion on gay marriage yet i'll tell you this; I definitely have a gay uncle. he's 80 one years old and has had many deep loving relationships without marriage. yet my grandchildren are going to be referred to in a international the place it relatively is the norm to marry somebody of a similar intercourse. what's the element?

It really shouldn't matter to anyone, and it's bizarre how some people believe it "cheapens" their own vows what somebody in another household, town, state, country is doing!
It reminds me of people in school who worried more about the grades other people were getting, and not focusing on their own education and what they were getting out of it. I mean, if you're so worried about "the sanctity of marriage", then, please, focus on making *your* marriage successful and really living up to the words you said to each other on the day you got married!

I am not gay, but I agree. People should be able to marry whomever they choose. It's none of our business. At one time interracial marriages were also illegal, so maybe one day same sex marriages won't be such a big deal.

The Heteros don't want us to get married because they know OUR weddings would be fabulous and so much better than theirs!
Our weddings would be THE social events of the season, theirs would just be an opportunity to give Tupperware and Bed n Bag as gifts.
They are jealous, that everything we do, we do better and with better results!

I don't mind who gets married, society needs to focus on real problems like drugs and violence.
