For me it's the fear of being hurt again. I don't want to be dragged through the dirt anymore, but it always happens. :(

Why? Well, maybe it’s because the mountain of anger is a safety wall that deflects any darts of possible hurt and pain. And the love that some profess is really nothing but a ‘lustful’ or ‘booty call’ infatuation. But, once the mountain of anger can cipher out the motive behind your professed love, and it’s true, then the mountain will fall and the person behind it will come forth and embrace you with true love too.

They are very powerful emotions to deal with,& if a person has had a bad experience with love it rekindles that bad experience & most tend to compare people unfairly due to it..with a strong will I think one can overcome the ill feelings though..

That mountain is baggage from failed past relationships. It's pretty hard to climb over sometimes and harder to let it go.
