Of course not. Your question is, of course, frivolous. There was no excuse for what Richards said [and once said it can never be taken back, nor do apologies do a thing to help]. That said, I wonder how vicious was the heckling that he got from the two black men. Being up on the stage is no doubt nerve wracking, especially when you are not going over well. So just imagine yourself in that situation and two insensitive louts heckle you. It would take a lot of class to ignore it or a very sharp wit to turn it against them. Perhaps Richards hadn't the class or the wit.

I think it's a double standard! The fact that rappers say the "N" word (No I don't use it!!) all the time!! And you hear all these little hip hop clowns refer to themselves as it again every other word...I have no problem with the fact that he snapped and called them something they probably refered to themselves as all day long anyway....It was the comment that precipitated it

"If it was 50 years ago you'd be hanging upside down with a fork in your a*s" That blew my mind...

Something like that just doesn't roll off your tongue unless you've thought about it before..That was unbelievably offensive and crossed every there was to cross in my mind!! The dudes career has been dead for years. So I can't even say he buried himself with that comment...But he sure let people know where his mind lies..He's racist no if's ands or buts about it.

Don't go there! That statement to me is racist! A statement that is racist is not just toward African Americans..Please look it up.....
Michael Richards mad a terrible mistake and he apologized for it.....I truly believe he is not a racist person.
Now, when was the last time anyone here said a racist or a deragotory statement against anyone? You thought you were joking, but someone else took it wrong.....doesn't mean it was racist, but.......This is over and done with...Don't add to it! Don't keep it alive....

To address William and other idiots of this forum: WATCH THE CLIP! all the hecklers stated was "my freinds don't think you are funny", its obvious some people didn't watch the clip because they woudn't respond the way they are! His outburst was completely uncalled for and the hecklers weren't even as bad as usual hecklers are, so therefore its obvious what his true colors are, and in regards to your question, I have no clue how to answer that or what is meant by that, sorry to impose on your question though I just got frustrated by the responses you got...

It was really bad. I saw it this morning on TV of course the words were all blanked out but you got the drift. He was completely out of control. His apology could not erase his bad behavior. I think he is only sorry he made himself look so bad
.
I deplore any kind of public racism.
