Read the column and then take a look at the videos. Can you imagine the outcry if a conservative group treated a liberal speaker like this? Why are liberals AFRAID of conservative speech?

The column.

This is the way socialist/communist get rid of free speech.

Mr. Cathy has a right to express his opinion..he probably made a lot of money from that opinion and that stimulated the economy. Other people do not agree with his opinions and they have the right to say so. One problem that I have noticed, is that some people think that just because Rahn Emanuel said something radical/stupid that it means everyone who has some liberal views thinks the same way. There is way too much generalization/stereotyping in this country. We don't need to look farther than 24/7 cable news entertainment networks pundits/commentators to know where this begins. Americans are for freedom of speech and they should be even if they don't agree with the speaker.

As a matter of fact it does happen to liberal speakers, but that is largely because they allow more free access to their events than do many republicans (a fear of reality shared by the president and his staff). Where were the ‘free speech’ conservatives when liberals pointed out (as later verified by the republican congress’ 9/11 and pre-war intelligence reports) that:

- there were no WMDs,
- there were NO terrorists in Iraq before Bush invaded,
- there was no connection between Iraq and OBL, AQ, or any terrorist organization,
- Hussein did not provide training camps to terrorists,
- Hussein hated AQ before we did, and
- Hussein did not hide al-Zargawi - he tried to have him arrested.

Oh yeah, they were, and continue to be, called traitors and worse.

Where was free speech when generals voiced concern over the pre-war invasion plans? Oh yeah, they were dismissed or forced to retire.

How exactly was Prof. Adams First Amendment rights violated? What I read was a lot of rudeness, but Prof. Adams was able to speak and get his message out. No-one forbid him from speaking, or suggest that he not be allowed to speech.

The guarantee of free speech is that you are allowed to voice your opinion - not that you are to be free from hearing dissenting views or challenged about the veracity of those views. The right of free speech is not the right to not be heckled.

Mike Adams is a great contributor at Townhall, I read every one of his columns. Liberals hate any speech that does not agree with one of their predetermined truths. Abortion is good, if you don't agree you are a sexist. Homosexuality is great, if you don't agree you are a homophobe. Affirmative Action is the greatest thing since fire, if you don't agree you are a racist. So in their very limited intellectual capacity, somewhere in between Bush is a moron and breathe, they have a little room to parrot everything that some communist professor has told them.

I'd like to see the liberal explanation for this very pervasive attitude.
It's not 'just a few' liberals who are guilty of this.....it's actually 'so many' that it appears that they're not interested in Free Speech at all . Only when it applies to their AGENDA. They could be far more effective, at getting their message out, if they weren't soooooooooooooo HYPOCRITICAL ....

Free Speech - Only if a liberal agrees with it

We all know that libs are for free speech... under one condition, the person talking is saying what they like. Didn't you remember that Columbia University thing earlier in the year? It is evident every year of the hypocrisy

Same reason conservatives do the same thing to liberals...you are all bum-holes

The reason they are so afraid is that they know that the average liberal is uninformed on the issues. The liberals want to spoon feed their agenda to their masses. They don't want them to become informed and have independent thought. They know that if their constituents were to see the facts, they would probably lose a huge voter base.
