If it is another child in your own childs class, tactfully approach the teacher. It is usually a sign of neglect, rarely illness - but sometimes is. It is the schools responsibility to address it with the parents and other authorities if need be.If your child has to sit near this child and nothing is done, then ask that your child be moved as it is too distracting. The latter you do have control over.

Oh poor kid, well either the teacher is too thick or scared to talk to the parents or the parents are too thick or uncaring about their child, its not the child's fault but that of the adults around it for doing nothing to help, speak to the teacher and if he or she won't listen then involve the welfare and eduction authorities before this poor child ends up with such a bad inferiority complex it never trusts anyone again.

Speak to his parents and ask the school doctor about it if you have one, if the child is young and his family are the same way , he probably does not think he is smelly, if the child is large ( fat ) then it could also be a glandular problem, one of my children is very over weight and it creates a problem.

The parents need to be called in for a conference if it's a small child. Neglecting a child's hygiene that badly needs to be addressed. If it's an older child, the teacher or a guidance counselor needs to have a talk with the child about it.

You could give this kid a little present consisting of soap, shampoo and body spray. We had a smelly lecturer at our uni and people would sit at the very back of the class .... for obvious reasons. Once he got the present that someone abandoned on his chair, things changed for the better...

That's a tough situation.
It would be best to contact the child's parents and inform them of the situation.
It could be that they haven't the means to supply the child with the proper cleansing tools or they just don't care.
Hope this helps.

parents have to be contacted.

His odor may be a result of neglect. If this is the case the authorities must be notified.

If the kid just doenst want to take a bath someone needs to make him.

Either way the parents are the people you need to speak to.
