Well Done!! Best question I've read today! Can't believe some people are taking it so seriously though. I'd read it as more of a question that makes you think for fun, but doesn't really require an answer!

People who have Tourettes don't all have vocal tics. And that's just what the outbursts are, VOCAL tics, they would not come across in typing. Most of them just have motor tics and even those can come and go.

"One of the less common possible symptoms of Tourettes yet the most highly publicized would be Coprolalia (outburst of obscenities and curse words).

Coprolalia is actually very uncommon in Tourette Syndrome and only effects as low as 5% to 15% of Touretter’s."

Plus I wouldn't necessarily know someone on Answers had it since I didn't even know someone close to me had it after knowing him 7+ years.

So my answer is yes, I might report someone using bad language (usually only if it's REALLY bad), Tourettes or not.

If you have Tourettes does it mean you write it down as well as say it? Anyway, unless they said they had Tourettes (and you would have no way of checking anyway) - how would you know?

Why is your question in the "Entertainment" category? That in itself is insulting.

Quit dragging Tourettes Sufferers through the mud. It's getting old.

Would you expect them to start every post with a disclaimer that they suffer from Tourettes? How would anybody reading a post know why someone used bad lnguage?

You wouldn't know they had Tourettes so yes, you have the right to report them if you are so inclined.

If its morally wrong to report someone incase they have an illness, then i guess its wrong to report or insult anyone who mispells because they might be dyslexic, or insult anyone who posts a dumb question or answer, in case they are a bit, er, dumb.

I don't much care about the language, so no. Anyway, how could he prove he suffers Tourettes and that he is not a common curser??

Tourettes is an illness, would you pick on someone who had cancer?

Think about what your asking, there may be many tourettes sufferers on this sight that may be hurt and upset that you are picking on a condition they cant control.
