Concentration equals mass/volume, or volume/volume, or mass/mass. In this case, we'll work with volume/volume.

1.5 ppm Cl per week is 6.0 ppm per month. This translates to 6.0 x 10^-6 L of Cl per L of pool water per month. The volume of Cl needed is then:

(6.0 x 10-6 L of Cl/L pool water)(5000 L pool water) = 3.0 x 10-2 L of Chlorine per month or 30 mL.

This assumes the problem does not expect you to calculate the equivalent mass of a particular product you would need to give that much available chlorine.

ppm means parts per million. Which means 1 milligram for each 1 kilogram. Assuming 1 litre of water weighs 1 kilogram 5000 milligram means 5 grams of chlorine will be sufficient.

1.5 ppm means 1.5 mg per liter. To treat 5000 liters 7500 mg is needed which is 7.5 grams. That is the amount needed per week. Multiply by 4 to get 30 grams needed per month.
