Some would argue that once it is sold, it is the responsibility of the person to use it wisely.
Should auto makers be on the hook when some maniac uses a car to run over people at the bus stop?

should pencil manufacturers pay for accounting mistakes or errors on the SATs? same logic, its a tool in a humans hand and by the way that pencil could kill you in about seven different ways at close range. It all goes back to the individuals intent. Look at DC or NYC, toughest guns laws in the nation but highest murder rates, because legal ownership of a gun is almost unheard of. Switzerland, where every man has an assault rifle and a hand gun because of reserve army duty, one of the lowest homicide ratings in the world even though billions of dollars pass through the country in cash and gold.

No and that is a rediculous question. Criminals should pay for thier own crimes and accidents are accidents(usually caused by an individuals carelessness) I have yet to hear HOW guns themselves or the manufacturers thereof cause ANY harm.
You sound like you just are looking for a lucritive lawsuit o\_/o

NO, not unless car makers should pay for what their products do, and jet ski makers, and boat builders. We call it "personnal responsibility" for a reason. Sadly today, to many do not want to have any.

Should food processors/distributors be liable for people becoming morbidly obese? Absolutely NOT. Put the blame where it belongs, and don't cop out , by shifting responsibility for an action to an inanimate object.
