No can't say that I do...I do however, know people who have wasted and continue to waste their lives being self-destructive, however, some people simply don't want any help...others such as the one you describe, just have that need to be right even if they aren't.
Of course, depends on what these mysteries, distractions and what ifs are and why they believe you can't see their truth. As individuals each of us has our own view of what is "the truth" about anything. Some things we agree on, other things we just all have to agree to disagree and move on. :)

Lots - most of them Christians.
Life is here to live and I have certainly lived it. I intend to go on living it too. When I do finally pass away I will have done as much as possible with my life.
Many Christians will say I have wasted it! Well I worked with the disadvantage for a number of years, both professionally and voluntarily, have been a director of several charities and even in retirement have just become director of another.
Living life to the full is not a waste, is not bad and allows you to do a lot of good. I suspect that if there is a God he will judge that most Christians would have a lot of catching up to do!
Life is for living now. If people cannot see that then they do themselves and society no favours at all!

We all waste time .. The key as you said is to see the truth...What ifs are just that what ifs.. We cannot change them so the only other solution , is to let them go...As for distractions, I am easily distracted LOL :) Focus can be a hard thing to master but with alot of effort and want to , it can be achieved ,....
Matter of fact , I am still working on focus at 43 lol...
Seeing the truth from another persons eyes is also not an easy thing.. The solution is to put yourself in their shoes ..
But seeing the truth from their eyes doesn't nessarily make it your truth...You have to weigh their truth to yours and judge on what you believe..
Example, my hubby thinks its cute to aggravate me when I am sick.. He says he is just trying to make me feel better. Well my truth is , I wanna choke him..lol.. He sees it at a kind thing I don't .. Our truths are different.. Although, I see what he is trying to do it doesn't make me feel better and I let him know that...
Seeing an others truth is good but we also have to weigh that truth to our own... In other words... Don't believe everything someone says .. weigh what they say and judge for yourself if it is relevant to you ... Hope this helps...:)

Most people waste their life just after they become an adult. But as one matures hopefully they can see it's to their benifit to get an education and do well in life and hopefully give back to their community. One must always think of the old age that will one day be on us.

Everyone does to some extent, some more than others. Not that I'm a religious person, but we all have purpose. Even if it is to set a bad example for others to learn from. Yes, I have wasted much of my life. But as they say Hind sight is 20/20
