I'm African American, and I'm not angry by the use of the N word like some would suggest we are, it's how he attacked those hecklers racially. I watched the clip and the hecklers weren't even that rude, so how he attacked them shocked the heck out of me because i really didn't expect that. I'm with you, I am embarrassed for him! the lynching is what got me, and if you watch the clip those hecklers were shocked too, and they let him know that was uncalled for. He could've attacked them a different way by ragging on them or picking at them but he went overboard and goes to show you was his true colors really are. I feel really bad for him somewhat because he is looked at as a racist, but I won't go that far, but I think he is just a little, like everyone else to a certain extent. I was raised to never use the N word, and to be honest I don't care if White people use it, I care how it is used wether its a black or white person using it, and the way he used it was straight up derogatory and racial. I'm ashamed to be a fan of his, and will never watch him again.

Yes, I believe he has way overstepped his privilage of being on stage. he has offended many people and not just black's ... But I hate to see it become anger among the people in the communities. We are a nation that live in a multi cultural society. Don't let what one man said set us back 50 years. We can do better than this. Speak your mind, get angry, frustrated but don't hate your neighbor because of some guy who had a microphone.

I'd be a little worried if it was ONLY the black community. Does the "white" community have a right to be upset as well? Does it have to be divided into black/white?

But yes, I do think african-americans have the right to be upset. The guy seems SO ignorant and he does come across as a drug addict as well.

Not just the black community, but any HUMAN has the right to be angry at him. He overstepped his "celebrity" status boundaries by saying what he said. I was never a fan of Seinfeld, but I loved his character. But after that incident, he should just find himself another job....too disappointing...

It's sad that he did that. However it's a personal decision as to how a person will allow it to effect them. What is it that one person can rock every ones world. I am an American Indian I know what it's like to get trashed. There is a lot of hostility towards Indians too but no one seems to care when you hear the jokes about the indian being drunk hanging out in front of the drug store with a whiskey bottle.

First of all he is not Kramer when he spoke - he was veteran actor Michael Richards. Secondly he apologized as he was being heckled and he overreacted. drop it....

I belong to a minority myself. I never get angry, I think that's the other person problem.

I agree with you! We should ALL be angry at Michael Richards no matter what our "color". It was insensitive and highly irresponsible.
