Bush is a great man though, he made some mistakes and i think anyone is bound to make mistakes. He needs Americans understanding and support because an assault/insult on the President is an assault/insult on the American people. Can u people (americans) say u never felt insulted by Hugo Chavez (Venezuelan president) speech??? He insulted all Americans and all what great americans ever fought for. Pls, Bush needs ur understanding cos he's human and i can guess he's going through hell rite now.

People that come down on the President need to get a clue. These people have no sense of what's really going on around them. Political Correctness will be the downfall of this country and the liberal media is brainwashing everyone. I'm tired of people whining and feeling pity for the terrorists. Everyone wants change but no plan for it. The terrorists have promised to kill and behead every American and they will do it. If Clinton had done his job while he was in office Bush wouldn't have inherited this mess. But he was too busy getting bjs in the oval office. Come talk to me when you're scared for a relatives life because someone is shooting commuters in front of the CIA building or your running and zigzagging to your car after grocery shopping and hiding beside your car because of a beltway sniper, or know of family and friends that were killed during 9/11 just for going to work. Some people are so far up in their ivory tower they can't understand somethings need to be done to protect even if some little rights are violated. Let the government listen to phone calls of suspected terrorists in this country. I don't care if it protects me and my family. The public doesn't need to know all of what the government does. Don't forget 9/11 the moment you put your guard down is when you will be next!

Wake-up Dorothy, Dorothy, wake-up, It's Auntie Em.
You have got to be kidding. Hugo Chavez is a buffoon. President Bush is a dangerous idiot. He is disrespecting the American people, I don't think he cares about his assault upon the rights and freedoms our constitution guarantees us. He's going through hell because his alter ego "the decider" has made blunder after blunder. I'd like to give him some understanding and concern, a size thirteen up his butt.

Bush is not a great man. Bush is systematically attempting to weaken our constitutional protections by concentrating power in the executive branch. That may not be his intent but it is the result of his actions.

Chavez made a really stupid speech in the UN which may have resulted in a positive for us, he was not elected to the security council because of that stupid speech. I am never insulted by stupidity, I just consider the source.

I'm sorry,{no I'm not},Dubyah is seen by the rest of the world as an idiot!.And a dangerous one at that, He was bought into office by the big corporates and the extreme religious right who it is now accepted, rigged the voting in Florida and again in Ohio to get him into "power"There, to do the bidding of those who control him..And he does, Anyone who thinks Canada is called 'Canadia'..Gets off the plane in Australia and thinks he's in England, is not allowed by his 'minders' to say anything to the foreign media, unless its on an Autocue, really isn't fit to govern a two stroke motor!..And that's the way he will go down in history!..So stupid, that he failed the ones who put him in power, now they are removing him!..

That sod is responsible for the deaths of so many innocent people. It doesn't matter if he is trying to free Iraq. Saddam is walking the green mile. The trouble now is that the Iraqis are targeting the Americans. If they pulled out things might calm down.
Bush should be walking the green mile too in my opinion.

Rosi, I agree with you on one point... Bush does need our prayers.

And my mother taught me that if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.

In violation of his oath of office, Bush used signing statements to negate laws passed by Congress, not with a veto, but with his personal opinion. Bush, thus, elevated himself above the rule of law that has protected America from becoming a tyranny and made a mockery of the separation of powers that are a foundation of American liberty.

With the overnight destruction of civil liberties that were 800 years in their creation, the United States stands at a watershed. If the legislation that has been put on the books permitting spying on Americans without a court warrant, legalizing torture and self-incrimination, and repealing habeas corpus and the right to an attorney remains on the books, the United States will be controlled by regime regardless of which party is in power.
