Q tips are the best makeup applicator you can buy for any use. Because it's used only one time, the chances for bacteria being transmitted from prior use is nonexistient. Both makeup and applicators shouldn't be used for longer than 3 months before replacing, generally speaking. (By the way, you shouldn't use your fingers around your eyes, either; again, the chance of bacteria transmittal is greater!)

well im not sure but i find eyeliner smudges too but if you are applying it on your eyelid then put a light eye shadow just above it and if u are applying it on the bottom of your eye then put a little face powder under it. the powder heps it not to smudge

Put the cap back on the eyeliner & use that to smudge your eyeliner. Don't use your finger - carries bacteria & will irritate your eye.

Why don't you just use cotton buds? Theyre just as effective and approx a zillionth of the price!! And it's more hygienic because they're disposable!

it'll cost more than a fiver but log onto Virgin Vie (one of Richard Bransons' companies), they have excellent eye liners with smudgers attached, it is worth the money, i couldn't live without mine now, they give the sexiest smokey eyed look.

i like using my fingers to smudge/blend my makeup. seriously, makeup in the uk is so expensive. it's a lot cheaper in the us. i was over there and needed mascara. i ended up spending double what i would have in america. ick.
