Might have him see a doctor and get zoloft. Keeps it up, and reduces early release, may even prevent ejaculation. There is a desensitizing cream that is available at any drug store, try that.
Maybe you need to rethink sex and how you are doing it. He might need to masterbate an hour or so before intercourse, so he will last longer. Or you could try oral, or do him manually, maybe mutual masterbation or 69. Then 30 minutes or an hour later, go for the full intercourse, and see if he is less sensitive.
Another option--go ahead and have intercourse, and let him release quickly. But don't consider that your sex--just your appetizer. Keep on playing and try for a second or third round, playing with and loving each other. Sometimes couples wait till it is time to sleep before having sex, so after the first orgasm both are at least the guy are ready to nod off. Do it earlier, maybe right after getting home in the evening, and make it an event.

Premature ejaculation is caused by specific things that you do before and during sex. Most of the time without even realizing it. Read here https://tr.im/yXxDb
Premature ejaculation is not some gene you're born with, the result of your penis size or a part of your personality that you can never change.

Don't laugh, but a quick fix is to put a rubber band around the base of the penis, tight, but not enough to make a mark. This goes way back to World War II when soldiers and sailors on leave wanted to get they're money's worth in brothels. After awhile, he'll get more comfortable with long lovemaking and won't need it anymore.

I'm not sure about that but sometimes I think my guy has the same problem and he's only 21. I heard that masterbating was a good thing because if he uses it more often, he knows how to work it and knows what all he can handle and give. By using it, he's practicing for actual sex... That's what I've heard...

first of all.. : do NOT..i repeat..do NOT go for medications to solve this problem.. i dont even know why almost everyone in here think that medications is "the answer" to everything?!
hoookay..
this is an exercise for you both: do kegel-exercises (search on the internet and you'll find how to do them)
heard of start - stop?
get him to masturbate, or you can masturbate him. get to the point when he is reaching his climax, then stop and let him cool down - 15 to 30 secs.
do this 4-5 times, then go to the point of no return. do this for about a week, maybe two weeks even - depends on your man;)
after you feel he can control his excitement, you are ready for intercourse using this technique.
have intercourse until he's reaching climax, stop all movements and make him go out of you (my english aint that good, sorry..), get him to cool down for about 15-30 secs, go for at it again, and do the same thing 4 or 5 times before you let him come.
this will learn him to control his excitement while you are having sex. and do those kegels! they are good for both of you!
good for him because: his pc-muscle will improve and he will be able to hold back his ejaculation
good for you because: your pc-muscle will improve, making you reaching orgasm more easily. be sure to use those muscles during sex, as this will make your vagina more sensitive:)

You have to train him to wait. Get him near climax and then cool the situation down. Do this several times and he will last longer. It is not an uncommon problem. In the meantime, if he climaxes before you - he can still help you climax. This may be enjoyable to him and also help the situation.
Good luck.
They can use anti-depressants such as SSRI's to delay ejaculation in men.

You can also get condoms & gel creams that reduce sensitivity in the penis without affecting you at all.
Another idea may be to get you a gel that increases sensitiity for yourself.
But after reading all the other answers I don't really have much more to add.
