Women are in pain and discomfort.So why do this.. in this day and age?

=some things never change. Most women want to look and feel good for themselves and their man. also if they are short It helps lengthen and make their legs more shapely. I only see "hookers" wearing stiletto heels. 4 inches is my max and preferably 3.

legs look good in stilettos - fact yeah they hurt and you can end up with crazy toes but that is the price women are willing to pay

They are human with their own tastes and personality as individuals. Each person, whether man or woman, has the right to choose how and what they will adorn their appearance with. It is their natural agency of which society has violated by making individuals wear the things it wanted them to wear in the name of fashion, propriety, status, and/or group association. Items of apparel appeal or repulse differently for each person. With society's policies of "one size fits all" attitude, individuals are forced to follow the social dictations or risk being ridiculed and chastised or even exiled from a group through not associating, imprisonment, banishment, or possibly killing. Why should you or I care what another person wants to wear? I get concerned and agitated when others make me wear what they choose for me. Again - ITS NOT THEIR PLACE, especially after I had achieved the qualifications for being a responsible adult. So, whether I like: pink, blue, or white; lace or khakis; corvettes or Hondas; sport shoes or high heels; leisure time around the pool or taking advantage of the spa facilities, read or watch movies - they are my choices to make and everybody else can do their own thing too. Who knows we may even like the same things, but that doesn't mean I have to do what you choose, unless I want to.

Dude, it's all part of the lie that is woman!! They wear make up, thay curl or straighten their hair, they put in those ridiculous coloured contact lenses and they wear shoes with silly high heels cos they want to look taller. talk about not being happy with yourself.

stilettos r sexy to both men and women, they take some getting used to but they aren't uncomfortable

they do it because the heal makes your legs look longer and slimmer, and yes it is hare to believe but women have been doing uncomfortable and painful( try waxing that hurts like hell) things for years just to make them look better

because they want to look taller and they give a nice shape to legs and they are good for defence and for ruining wooden floors and we can leave our mark on society
