Your body's natural rythm causes it to expect ro be already in bed and asleep long before 2:30 AM, and out of bed and active long before noon the next day.
Sleeping 12 and 13 hours a day isnt any better than sleeping 3 or 4 hours a day. If undersleeping, you remain legitimately tired. With oversleep, you get groggy, dopey and thick headed, and have a propensity to go right back to sleep (if alllowed) and make matters even more screwed up.
I used to have your problem, and solved it, at least partially, by going to bed by 10:00 PM and getting myself up at 5:30 AM.
Sometimes less IS more.
Also sleeping too much can be a symptom of depression, so you might ask you doctor about it...

There are a few possibilities it could be that you are going to bed just too late, your body is getting thrown out of sync and cant handle all the disruptiveness of a constantly changing sleep pattern so perhaps you may need to look at your lifestylr take the pressure off your body and relax more, give yourself a few early nights to recover.I once heard that every hour of sleep you get before 12 midnight is worth 2-3 hours what you get after. Is there a possibility you could be pregnant? When you are in the early stages of pregnancy you can sleep for an eternity and still feel tired! Otherwise you could try some natural herbal sleep remedies or calms from most health food stores.
Good luck xx

It is possible you have an underlying medical condition causing you to be tired all the time. I would talk to your doctor about this. It is also possible, though, that your circadian rhythm is just off. That means you are sleeping during the day and active at night, and human bodies were simply not wired for this. You may find you have more energy when you return to a more normal sleep/wake cycle.

you may just be under too much stress or can't sleep well. you could do excercises..that way you'll feel tired and sleep very well. sleep till you wake up and you'll be fresh. by the way, sleeping is good.

Sometimes too much sleep makes you listless and draggy, especially if you are partying a lot and not eating right. Balance your life a little, exercise proper diet and only as much rest as you really need.
