Its kinda kiddish. My 4yo daughter would want this cat. But its still just a little kitten, not the dora talking house so I see no problem with an adult owning this toy. But maybe its a problem if you plan on wrapping it in a blanket and carrying it with you everwhere you go. Still far better than grown people who play video gamesall day.

I'm pretty sure every parent has done it at some point. Especially when they are babies and small toddlers. Those are the years where they get more excited by the boxes and wrapping paper than the gifts. We buy them what WE like at that point, because they certainly haven't asked for anything or formed opinions on what toys they want at that time. I think it continues on as they get older, but to a smaller degree because we now have their clear-cut wants in mind as we shop too.

I've had to wrestle with this question myself a few times, as my main hobby is collecting sci-fi toys & comics.
The overall answer is "NO - ITS OKAY, BUY IT ! "
Why ?????
- A lot of these, so called 'toys', are actually aimed at the adults anyway.
- Why should you miss out on a cool toy, just because of your age?
- A lot of these toys will go up in value & will be collectables in a few years.
- You could always pass it on to a kid / a charity shop if you get bored with it.
- Its a chance to recapture your youth.
- There are a lot worse things that you could spend your money on !!!
If you till feel weird about it you could always get someone to buy it for you for Christmas !!!

I would say childlike, childish can mean like a child, but can also mean 'silly, trifling,' many adult get called childish, when they are simply doing something that the other person disagrees with.
If you mean childish in the sense 'like a child' then yes.
If my opinion there is absolutely nothing wrong with with adults playing with toys designed for children, many of the toys will last longer with adults playing with them, than they would with children.
A man I met, bought himself a children style spinning top, from the early learning centre to see if he could still enjoy it, he can, he finds it relaxing.

No...its never too late to have a happy childhood...get a bumper sticker that says that and then start a toy factory, open a new toy store, sell toys, play with toys, advertise toys...whatever rocks your boat.
Don't let any one discourage you from doing what you love. Eventually it can take you somewhere that you never thought you could go. (Toys are invented by people who love them.)
(I just realized that this is probably a very "American" response but then that is why Americans invent so many strange and unusual things! And all of them make it to market!)

who defines them as kid toys? If you look at most toys they have ages on them and for example say "ages 12 and up", well if it has and up on it that mean there is no limit. Therefore they aren't just "kids toys" but "grownup toys" as well. And your cute little kitty has 3+ so it looks to me like you well over 3 so go ahead and buy It!

No! Who made the rule that you shouldn't? They're bringing out so many toys that they didn't have when you were a child, if you like it and can afford it - buy it!
