In general, that is true. But there are people that just analyze any situation to death and never act upon it. Figure it out the best you can an get on with it.
Too many details can also just muddy up the equation.

I usually add details but sometimes it is obvious that some answerers don't read them. I get some pretty wacky answers that never answer what I'm asking. Sometimes I click on an interesting question and am disapointed that there are no other details. So many questions are just too vague to contemplate a good answer.

Y!A and real life are so different.....
In life the less details I give the better cause it sounds like I am talking some other language.
In Y!A life usually the more details the better result for getting your question answered properly, or at least the way you want, and after all isin't about you?

And I have written questions with suggestive Headers that had details that spun the question in a different direction and about half of the people didn't bother to read the details.
