i get migraines as well, sometimes with no apparent reason- but i've figured out some of my "triggers" (things that cause a Migraine to come on). some things triggering migraines could be
1. cigar,pipe or cigarette smoke.
2. chocolate
3. weather changes (barometric pressure)
4. monthly period
5. food or other allergy
6. fumes from perfume, cologne, paint or stain.
7. other environmental factors
8. unknown causes

Mine are usually caused from certain things. mine are affected by the weather, cigar, pipe or clove cigarette smoke, my monthly period, paint, stain, perfumes, colognes, other scents in air (air fresheners, etc.)
Chocolate doesn't trigger my migraines (thank goodness because I haven't met a chocolate i didn't like).

Take her to a doctor. There are certain seemingly harmless things that can trigger migraines and a lot of medications that can help. A doctor will be able to help your wife discover what is causing her migraines and prescribe medication to help her deal with the pain.

the same thing happens with me. i went to my doctor about it, and she prescribed me a large dosage of neoproxem, which works wonderfully. but if you wait too long for going to the doctor, something really bad might happen to her, so you might wanna hurry. my parents knew i had been having migraines for quite a while, and they waited til i passed out before doing anything about it.
hope i helped!

You don't get migranes for no reason. There is a physical cause behind all migranes. She needs to see the doctor and find out what is causing them.

could be hormones or grinding of her teeth or food, I would suggest calling her doc and seeing if they will call you in some imitrex (can't spell), it isn't cheep but it works pretty good.
