I wanted to defend him, but then I saw the video. I'm not a politically correct person- I hate PCness, but this was historically bad. I commend the black audience members who didn't resort to violence.
George Lopez was right- he is an actor trying to do a standup's job.

Stymie, Julsgene, and Kia- thanks for your input. I didn't mean they would attack them because they are black. I meant if someone insulted ME like that, I would have probably been violent. I'm not commending blacks controlling themselves- I'm commending the targets of insults controlling themselves- I ain't good like that, see?

I too wanted to defend him because I loved him on Seinfield, then I watched the tape, and I gotta say, those remarks were uncalled for, he could've went about that a different way. And also African Americans are very mature, we all don't resort to violence because someone wants to be an ahole, that is their problem. Those hecklers were wrong, but what comedian don't have to deal with constructive Criticism? He appeared to be a racist in my book because people really do say what they mean when they are angry--their true colors show. at first I didn't care about him sayng the N word but when he said the lynch speech I had to turn it off because I couldn't believe he stooped that low... sucks for him right now...

OMG-What a line
"I commend the black audience members who didn't resort to violence." (As if you think it a perfectly natural reaction of them to physically attack him).
You inadvertantly created a gem of your own. Excellent work.
Seriously though. George Lopez was right. The man just has not developed the thick skin needed to shine in the world of stand up.
If I wanted to give Richards the benefit of the doubt for a second, I would say that when you are infuriuated by someone after they verbally assualt you for no reason as you do your job, you're only thought at that moment is to say something to them to make them feel as badly as they are making you feel.Regardless of how ugly the word is. I don't condone the use of the N-Word. I hate that word, but it doesn't make Michael Richards a card carrying racist just because it came out of his mouth.
He just didn't handle his anger well and has some sincere apologies to make.
Joey, get some sleep. This one's not the end of the world and you can still love Kramer without getting upset at yourself for appearing to support a bad guy and it doesn't mean you are PC either. You just like when people do the right thing.I would let this one blow over without too much concern.

Yeah, it was wrong, very wrong! But why do we have to dwell on it? It seems that whenever someone says the N word that it is the end of the world. Let it go and be the bigger person. Would violence of been the answer? Hate breeding hate? He is a nobody. Just one person "caught" in the act. How many people out there don't get caught? That's the picture we must look at. Racism of all types needs to be put to an end. It truly disgusts me that we still have all this blame going on. People are human, no matter what skin color they are. Treat each other the same. Please.

Joey K, contrary to popular belief, not all black people resort to violence when there's a crisis, so you don't have to commend us for acting like humans (though i'm thinking you didn't mean it the way it sounds?)
This Michael Richards is a has-been, after Seinfeld, no one cared much for him and now he's all over the press, good move for being acknowledged again, bad move for your health.

This was a bad thing. No real defending it. But you should not let it bother you to the point of sleep loss. While it's good that the event bothers you, you do not need to "own" it. Let it go. If you try to own everything bad that happens in the word, you will go insane.
Do something you enjoy, and avoid extreme things for a few days, you will be ok.

Richard Harris! I omit him a lot. i imagine he became the perfect Dumbledore you would possibly want to imagine from the books. He purely performed his personality so properly! Michael Gambon does a reliable interest too, it purely doesn't evaluate to Richard Harris!

This is so not worth losing sleep over. Yeh, it's ugly and ignorant but, then, so are most people. Don't expect better from so-called celebrities (including politicians), and you won't be so devastated.
