My daughter found a site online that translates names into hieroglyphics! A friend of mine then made her a necklace with the hieroglyph for her name. What a cool thing. Try it:

A lot of online translators are way off. I would look into the book called "Teach yourself hieroglyphics" by Ron Bonewitz. It is a great book and easy to learn with. It has exercises also. Have fun!
