People have a go at Tony for going to war but would the argument for him not going to war be the same. If London was hit and we were not at war would the people have had a go at Tony for not going to war?

I don't think Iraq and the London Bombings are entirely linked, and I don't think not going to war in Iraq would have prevented the terrorist attack, because if terrorist attacks are linked to Iraq, 9/11 wouldn't have taken place! I most certainly don't think people would have had a go at Tony Blair for not going to war in Iraq, its just as unpopular now as it was before London bombings. The reason that war in Iraq happened in the first place was the belief there were WMDs but there weren't and US and UK have caused so much destruction that there was actually more stability when Saddam Hussein was in power!

There are many people being tracked. It just happens that the 7/7 people that got through were ‘moderates’ and therefore not perceived as a threat, all the dangerous fanatics are closely watched and have not managed to carry out an attack.

Several of the 7/7 bombers actually gave speeches on why they done the bombing. They stated that Britain foreign policy was a main reason in why they bombed us – Our support for the US and Israel were others.

It would still be a 50:50 chance of them feeling compelled to bomb us - even if we never went to war, .

If we had made a real effort to liberate the Palestinians and put pressure on the Israelis we would never have been bombed - by those particular people anyway.

Sure, many of the other people would still have tried to kill us… BUT all the other people get caught and have not managed to harm anyone.

AND I think Bliar is more than willing to sacrifice another 50 odd civilians (he already sent 2-300 Brits to their death ) for his political views.

as far as i and many others would agree to point out, if britain and tony blair didn't invade the middle east- iraq AND afghanistan- then london wouldn't have got bombed. i strongly believe the 7/7 attacks of last year in the summer had almost everything to do with britain's involvement alongside the US in this now infamous iraq war. although the culprits behind the london terror attacks had links to al qaeda

Tony Blair took us into an illegal war under illegal pretences. He claimed there was evidence of WMD in Iraq. There were no such things.

If we had not gone to war in Iraq we would not have been hit in the first place.

Tony lied to everyone and is now trying to justify it by saying we are making the world a better place. Americans try to justify it by saying "what about 9/11?" they seem to forget that that was Afghanistan not Iraq.

London was bombed by people from within the UK. They would have been brainwashed into doing what they did whatever Blair decided to do over Iraq.

So London gets bombed. The bombers blew themselves up. The organisation that controlled them is not a state but a CIA offshoot that went wrong. Who do we declare war on? Afghanistan? America? or the usual country we attack when we're feeling depressed France? It was certainly nothing to do with Iraq.

If blair didn't go to war, would London have been hit at all?

The ludicrous logic you use astounds me. How many terrorists have been from Iraq????
The war in Iraq has increased terrorism, because the very small percentage of radical Muslims have used it as an excuse to bomb the main antagonists killing innocent people in Iraq.

You have got it the wrong way round in your confusion, we got hit because Blair lied and went to war

No, but I would like to ask him why, when all this kicked off, the Bin Ladens were in the UK and our security forces ushered them to safety whilst our government were fully aware of this, Why was that Tony?
