I certainly hope not there is only tension between a small minority of the immigrants into this country. Most are British citizens anyway. This country have always had influxes of different people that have usually been absorbed into the British way of life quite quickly while still keeping their own religion and customs. Hopefully the Muslim (who have been here for some time but seem to be reclaiming their roots) will integrate again as they were once doing, perhaps when we pull away from the war and bring our troops home.

I dont think it will be a civil war but there are definate problems to address. There is tension between afrocarribeans and pakistani's[asians] (can we say that) just look at Birmingham. The tension between muslims and British people are also there but the biggest tension and bubbling just below the surface are the immigrants. Check it out if you dont believe me, there are so many in town centres these days that it seems like you are taking a holiday just doing your shopping!!!!!

There is tension between the idiot British and the Idiot Muslims who together make up less than 1% of the total people in Britain. If you want to have a civil war, it will be a very small one and you will all be rounded up by the police in no time at all and put in Brixton prison to cool off for a long time. Although you have the right to ask such a question (a right I would defend), the question is not helpful because it suggests that a civil war is some kind of solution.

Old Know All is correct and obviously knows his history. About 360 years ago Britain and Ireland underwent a series of terrible civil wars that ended with the three kingdoms in ruin, a king beheaded by parliament and finally in the dictatorship of Oliver Cromwell. This was all down to religious intolerance from all parties involved. I pray we never see the like again in this country.

Addition: I take it whoever gave me a thumbs-down wants a civil war? Evil person.

Not a civil war, but certainly civil unrest. MI5 estimate that up to 120,000 muslims in Britain Tacitly support terrorist attacks in Britain, and on British interests abroad. Its almost beyond beleif that the british people have not reacted to this already in a major way. Basically these people (not all muslims) should really go elsewhere. They use Iraq as an excuse, but almost all of them are pakistani or bangladeshi, and have nothing to do with iraq(im half iraqi myself, not arab or muslim tho). They have a much better quality of life, and more opportunities than in their home countries, and should be grateful to be here, and thankful they were allowed in. I think its a matter of time before serious trouble erupts!

Almost certainly if things continue the way they are.
Britain will either be forced to adopt the same levels of tolerance that Muslim countries adopt to non-state religions - i.e virtually none at all.
Or else take dramatic measures to curtail immigration.
It isn't feasible to have a group of people at odds with the values of a scoiety living within it. A recent poll stated that 8 out of 10 Muslims living in Britain condemned the July 7th attacks - that was taken as a source of comfort that the Muslim Community was behing British values.
What it says to many is that 2 out of 10 Muslims living in Britain are supportive of British citizens being murdered.
Similarly more than 2 out of 10 Muslims supported the adoption of and promoted the pursuance of Sharia Law in the UK.
Absolutely crazy.
Britons are historically very tolerant, but that tolerance won't be maintained in the face of this kind of extreme provocation for long.
The result can only be Civil War. Unless there is a wider war that results in expulsions and imprisonment of Muslims, as happened with German's in the Second World War.

That or the Muslims in Britain have to become more tolerant and live within the laws and norms of their chosen host country...

YES.

This is definitely going to happen. I have proof.

Before the Tsunami and the massive earth quake in China a man on the radio said these were going to happen. On the radio the presenter asked "can you tell us if anything bad is going to happen in the UK" he replied "yes there will be a civil in the year 2012"
This war will be because of the government they don't treat everyone equally anyone that is not British is treated much better than anyone else.
They get A FREE house, car and MONEY.
Britts have to wait months/years to get a house when immigrants come in they have a house within a month fully kitted out and everything.
Everyone knows that most of them are scamming the government for every penny they can and no-one is doing anything about .
British people are getting annoyed with it now so in 6 years this will result in a civil war.

I think there will certainly be racial tension and riots in the future, there's no doubt about that. Civil War? I don't think so. There aren't enough muslims in Britain for that to happen.

Hardly a civil war, I expect there may be some gang violence between young males, but there already is I think.
Most Muslims are no more violent than anyone else.
Where are the opposing armies going to get their soldiers from?
If anything they may suffer inceased persecution from racist anti-muslim groups.

I think we will more likely move very closely to the politacal right wing, just like Germany before the second world war.

If nothing gets done it could tip over the edge, but more of a mas expulsion of Muslims rather than a full out war.
