There seems to be even more speculation at the moment about the possibility of us meeting aliens or, indeed, time-travelling.
If time-travelling is/going to be possible then why hasn't someone come back to see us? Does this mean that we are the forerunners of time and that future doesn't exist yet? Has anyone got any sensible ideas?

I have not seen or met a time traveller. However their is such a thing as a gauche horizon. Basicaly when you create a time machine you cannot travel back before the time machine was created. So sence as far as I know, no time machine has been invented as of yet. It would be impossible for a time traveller from the future to experience what life is like in our historical period. For instance if the time machine was created in 2500 they may start having time travellers from the future coming back for anthropological surverys. However they could not visit 2006 because the time machine was not yet invented.

Time travellers are all around us probably but they are not interfering with our lives probably because they dont want the Grand father paradox to happen (You go back intime and shoot your grandfather even before you were born and then there is no pathway that leads to your birth then as a time traveller you should become stranded in this time frame - neither can you go back nor risk the creation of other cataclysmic events that will change the course of events in others lives)

surely if there are time travellers and they've come back to see us they know by now that they can't actually talk to us about anything, as it could be catastrophic for the future, and therefore change their existence. We've all seen Back to the Future. I'm sure they're here observing, and hopefully not interferring too much.

A time-traveller will not exist as we would otherwise have met him/her.
