Yes we as americans do care and are concerned about alot of things. Unfortunately at times, it takes a disaster to shake us out of our own little individual worlds to do something. Anytime, someone wants to stand up and say I CARE, it costs. it much easier to go with the flow, then to swim against the current, but when the people who know to do right don't stand up, then the people who have their own agenda are going to smother. So, yes in general America cares, but as a whole we do nothing. Their are small pockets that are doing things. ie. Samaritans Purse currently sends needful thigns overseas to third world countries. Many many organizations are doing wonderful things in the world to make a difference. But only when we stop acting self righteous, and stop saying its none of my business, then we as individuals will join together, and become a group. the group joins with other groups and we become a community, communities join together and we become districts, states, and then we can move with one voice on one accord and see things get done as a Nation. God says that a house divided can not stand. the only way for us to make a change, is to look in the mirror and make a change. it always always always starts with us, individuals making a change then finding others to join, then we can see the country be able to make a change

Yes they do. That is why we raise money to help people around the world whenever there is a natural disaster anywhere in the world. That is why we volunteer around the world to help with things like Doctors without Borders, The Red Cross, Peace Corps, Habitat for Humanity. That is why we sponsor children and communities throughout the world with groups like Feed the Children. That is why we pray for people around the world. That is why we allow thousands of people from around the world to come to our Universities and Colleges to learn.

Actually I think it's just the opposite. They care about too many things so much so that none of it is unified. Leading to millions of little individual campaigns for millions of different special interest leading to nothing getting done.

Once again, someone takes the ideas of the idiots in the media and transposes them to the general population.
I would be just as guilty if I took the ideas of the Taliban and said it was all Arabs, Egyptians, etc.. ideas and called for mass annihilation of them all.
