I know everything about MY country. It's an wonderful one, with a great nature, history and culture. Many Romanian brains made useful things for other countries. And if the U.K.'s people are so afraid, no problem : gypsies will come in U.K. and the lords in Romania, just to be safe. O.K.?

Romania & it's people suffered poorly at the hands of a past comunist ruler Nicolae Ceauşescu who was eventually overthrown by an uprising in 1989 - since that time as the country became 'open' the horrific, shocking pictures of HIV infected children packed into rural orphanages & stories of gangs, drugs, weapons & such like have tainted peoples perception of this once great country in a way that only the worlds media can do. By condeming all Romanian people as gangsters, drug traffickers & pimps we are only exercising our predjudice.

It is a beautiful place which has a fantastic amount of history & culture, it is also home to many warm & interesting people. There are loads of history pages on the net about Romania & Transylvania, i would suggest reading those if you want to know more, please don't base your opinion on the news headlines & other peoples rants. I for one certainly hope to visit again one day.

Romania is a nice country. Most of the tourists enjoy it for the food, history, nature... just to name a few.
Those who think badly about it, clearly never been there.
I'm not saying everything is perfect in Romania, work need to be done to improve its situation, but it is not as bad as other people' answers imply.
And I know the country well!!!

PS: are u Romanian?!

Rome is NOT in Romania. It is in Eastern Europe. The capital is Bukurest. It si famous for it's castles from many centuries ago and for Dracula, who is believed that had lived in this country.

Not as bad as every one is saying. WAS a very cheap place for a vacation but has got dearer in the last couple of years. Plenty of petty crooks and pick pockets, but so has most of Europe. Very scenic and the girls r pretty. A lot of Saudis used to take vacations there and have probably forced prices up a bit.
