Most of the top B-Schools have interviews.

For a few students who are on the edge, a particularly good interview could be the deciding factor. But for most prospective students, the interview is not something that will make them decide to admit you -- rather it is something that could make them decide to not admit you. In other words -- you don't have to wow them -- you just have to make sure that you don't screw up.

The questions they ask are similar to those on a job interview. Be prepared to tell them why you want an MBA, what you want to do when you finish, why you want to go to that school. It is always good to have a funny story about yourself -- but not one that puts you in a bad light (and preferably one abut business). Feel free to ask them questions about the program.

1. Wear business dress (e.g., wear a suit).
2. Be honest
3. Talk more about what you will contribute to the program rather than what you will get out of it.
